FAQ
Where are you located?
We are located at 326 West 4th Street, Royal Oak, MI 48067, right next to the Royal Oak Music Theatre, on the corner of 4th Street and Lafayette Ave.
Do you accept reservations?
Unfortunately, due to the limited size of our dining area, we do not accept reservations. However, our hosts do their best to keep wait times as short as possible. We also have a lounge area along the south windows that operates on a first-come, first-served basis, which is ideal for larger groups. While waiting for your table, feel free to enjoy a drink or appetizer, or even indulge in our full menu in the lounge.
CAN YOU accommodate large groups?
Our dining room can seat up to 8 guests during the week and up to 6 guests on weekends. For larger groups, we recommend our lounge, which is available on a first-come, first-served basis. On weekends, our upstairs lounge can accommodate up to 14 guests, provided it is not reserved for a private event. For groups larger than 14, please reach out to inquire about our private event options.
Is there anything else to eat besides sushi?
Yes, absolutely! In fact, our kitchen menu is just as popular as our sushi menu. We offer a diverse range of entrees, starters, and sides, including sliders, hoisin-glazed ribs, chicken teriyaki, miso cod lettuce cups, and wasabi whipped potatoes.
What should I expect when my sushi is served?
Our sushi is served family-style, intended to be shared among the table. If there are any allergies or dietary restrictions, we can separate the orders to accommodate individual needs. Just let us know when you order.
Where does your fish come from?
Our fish is sourced from around the globe. For example, our yellowtail comes from Kagoshima, a seaside city on Kyushu Island in Japan; our salmon is from the Faroe Islands; and our tuna is sourced from the Gulf of Mexico.
What kind of sushi rice do you use?
We use only the finest premium short-grain Koshihikari rice.
What time is your Happy Hour?
Happy Hour is available Monday through Thursday from 5–7 PM, and Friday through Sunday from 4–6 PM.
Can you accommodate all allergies?
Yes, we can accommodate all allergies, including gluten, seafood and shellfish allergies. Our bartenders and servers are highly knowledgeable about food allergies and are happy to assist guests in selecting and modifying menu items to ensure a safe dining experience.
Where should I park?
Metered parking is offered throughout Royal Oak. Parking structures are also located on Lafayette Avenue, to the north and the south. At this time, valet service is not available.
